I Need A Doctor

I recently got these new Dr. Martins and I pretty much haven't taken them off. They are so comfortable it is crazy! Plus I'm a top secret sucker for a floral print, which is what these babies have, all over the inside! Ha, success!

Also I have been collecting tee shirts like crazy from the thrift stores these days..... Just saying!

Blue Jean Baby

As of recent i have decided that I primarily like mens jeans, but on girls. They are just so comfortable! And easy to work in, might I add ;)

I got these Wranglers for $1 and I have to say it was the best dollar I have spent in quite awhile.....

Blanket Baby...

Last week I was on vaca from the day job and I went thrifting like you wouldn't believe. I especially like thrifting around Halloween because all of the things that get put into the "costume" section that are really for me to wear in my real life. Case in point, I found this amazing jacket! I'm not really sure what "costume" it would be used for..... Which is why it's a good thing I'm wearing it daily ;)

Dark Days...

What does a lady wear on a overcast warm summer day? All black naturally.....

This shiny leopard shirt dress is one of my faves! It's sheer so I wear a solid little slip underneath and man is it comfortable. It feels like I'm wearing pjs all day long! On this particular day I wore my super short cut off cowboy boots... had to work so I needed to be able to move about quickly ;)

Ride the Lightening....

I'm having to back log some posts since things have gotten so hectic at work :( But I just couldn't pass up the chance to share these leggings!

I must admit I was not really loving my legging collection as of late, but I think my tune may be changing. I just love these stormy night leggings and may or may not have ordered 2 new pairs from an online site. Now I have to try and wait patiently till they come ;)

Northwest Grunge

I'm taking my Northwest roots to a whole new level today.... Some may hate the thermal long underwear I am sporting today, but all I have to say is that I am so comfortable it should be a crime! I have been working the 5am till 2pm (plus lots of at home work) for the past month and a half. Needless to say waking up at 3am every morning takes a toll on ones fashion choices. Just saying....

But I sort of feel like if you are going to be wearing thermal long underwear, a Nirvana tee is the perfect thing to pair them with. Also you will notice my creepy cat lurking around in the background like a loon.....

It's a grey day....

It's been a long taxing work week for me. But the good news is I have been able to wear tons of new items I have recently obtained. I found this awesome crochet overlay dress at the Presidents Day sale at the old Value Village. I actually really scored big at that sale even though I didn't make it till about 6pm. Which in thrifting time might as well be midnight!

The dress ended up costing me $3!!!!! Oh and this white and silver beaded necklace I found a couple weeks before was only $3 as well!!!! Sorry but I just get so excited when I find great stuff for cheap :)

End of days....

Today is my last day of vaca from my day job :( I have had such a relaxing week and hate the thought that I have to wake up at 4 am tomorrow morning for work. I spent my last day of vaca sleeping in, cooking a huge breakfast, going to a vintage and art market at a bar, and having beers with some pals. All in all not a bad day.

I even got to wear this velvet dress that I found thrifting this week. I left it unbuttoned so it's more like a long cardigan/ jacket situation. I have been waiting for the right day to break it out since I picked it up. I also haven't taken this jacket off since I found it at a second hand store about a week ago. It's just too cozy to take off. Well, cross your fingers and wish me luck tomorrow. I'm going to need it!

Sun Stream....

The sun has finally come out! My favorite thing in the world is the way the sun light streams in my kitchen windows. I live on the corner of my building that faces the Puget Sound and the sun shines in my windows and off the water in the most amazing way. I am already dreaming about summer and it's only January!

* Please excuse all the madness in the background but I live in a studio and have a millions clothes.

I feeling quite casual today so I figured jeans and t-shirt were the right items to throw on. I also finally broke out the Marc by Marc Jacobs watch my parents got me for Christmas. I haven't worn it yet because number one, fancy things scare me, and number two, I am constantly breaking my jewelry at work so I refuse to wear any of my nice things to work. I will also note that I wear all the rest of this jewelry all day everyday, it's my base ;) Now off to my parents for a quick visit!

Mink Pink Money!

A couple of months ago at my day job we got in a whole bunch of Mink Pink product. I was so excited I danced about like a fool for several minutes. We only got in about a size run in each style which is scary because I always get nervous that my size will sell before I can buy it. One of the items I had my eye on was this beautiful long pink maxi skirt. It's called the "Great Expectation Skirt" and it couldn't be more perfect.

There is yoking at the top and buttons all the way up the front. Plus it has small belt loops along the top. I slid on my high waisted leggings underneath since it is still quite cold here. Tossed on this grey crop top that I love but have only worn once and a cropped sweater for the final layer. Perfect outfit for baking brownies :)

Drowned Rat.....

Today everything was grey, the sky, the streets, the rain, basically the whole city. I woke up late and didn't get a chance to dry my hair before I left for work. That plus being in and out of the rain all day made me feel like a drowned rat. Sulking along.....

Which is why I am photo'ing my outfit on the floor, because I have definitely looked better ;) On the bright side I got to wear this beautiful floral floor length skirt. I got it last weekend when I had to sell clothes. Why was I buying anything while I'm beyond broke you might ask? Well because the banks were already closed and I had sold so many clothes at the old Buffalo Exchange they were going to have to write be a check. So in an effort to get under the cash limit they have I had to purchase something. Basically I can justify buying clothes no matter my financial state, sad but true!
