Learning new things.....

I have started trying to learn new things when it comes to this whole computer thing. I have finally started to learn to layer photos in Power Point. Old news to most people however brand new information to me.

This is my very first attempt so please do not judge me. I just grabbed some photos I have taken over the last year and shoved them together. Hopefully one day I won't be so scared of technology......

* All photos are taken by me.

Sorry.....

I have just started this blog and I am already behind. I am quite sorry for this lag and will do my very best to get back in the swing of things. My life over the past week has been turned upside down. And to avoid the pity party I will just say that things have definitely been better. I will be moving soon and maybe things will settle after that.... Until then I will do my very best to focused. Xoxo.

Running a bit behind...

As per usual my week got a bit crazy and I got a bit behind on my posts. So this photo is actually from Wednesday of last week. It is finally getting nice out so I was able to wear a tank with no coat! Sorry but that is quite exciting. I pulled this tank out of the drawer and could help but put it on. It belonged to my Dad, he got it while my Mom and him were on their honeymoon. I snagged it years ago and took in in so it fits tight (that was before I decided I like my clothes loose.)

Please excuse the janky photos, I have no tripod and had no one to help. So I stacked books on my coffee table, I may be a maniac.

* High waisted wide leg jeans from Urban Outfitters 3 years ago. Brand: Grass

Saturday DIY

So today I spent a bit of time on a DIY project I've been wanting to do. I liked the graphic on this tee but didn't like the cut, so I added it to this faded Levi's jacket. I also found some fabric markers in a drawer the other day and figured, what the hell.

I will mention that it was a bit trickier than I thought. The fact that I don't really know how to use my sewing machine didn't help. But overall it turned out pretty good. I am now on the hunt for some studs to add to the mix.

A 2nd job isn't all bad...

Yesterday my 2 pals and I did our first photo shoot for the new online vintage shop we are starting. We have already started an inspiration blog so people can start getting to know our personal styles. We are all very different, but you can check out our inspiration blog HERE. I will post a link to our site once we have it up and running. I'm so excited I have wanted this for years and to be doing it with such good pals, I couldn't be luckier.

If this is how a 2nd job is going to go, I'm sold :)

Sometimes you have to look back.....

Sometimes a girl can't help but look through her old photos and reminisce.....

 Sometimes looking back isn't so bad. But I just have to remember that the future has so many possibilities. Hope everyone is having a wonderful week.

Mondays are always a blur.

Monday is most definitely my least favorite days of the week. There is so much to be done and not enough hours in the day to do it all. It is however the day of the week that I have the least physical work to do. So I try to wear a dress or something a bit more special on Mondays to try and brighten my spirits.

So today I broke out this white silk dress that I got recently on a very lucky trip to the Good Will. I took out the shoulder pads and did a quick cleaning on it and boom, ready to wear! Even though I was wearing a dress I still had to wear my cowboy boots (I stand up pretty much all day so I need to wear something cozy.) And if you haven't noticed by now I have quite the collection of necklaces, bracelets, and rings that I will not leave the house without. On the bright side my day is almost done ;)

* Silk dress from Good Will
* Belt from Urban outfitters

"It's all happening..."

I have wanted to sell vintage clothes for as long as I can remember. My day job is in retail, but my true love has always been vintage. I love the hunt, the excitement of finding something truly wonderful in the middle of the madness of most thrift stores. So finally it seems my dreams may be coming true. Two of my very good pals and I have decided to start an online vintage store! It is not up yet, but today we made some important headway and it has put me in a particularly good mood. Hope the rest of you have had an equally magical weekend....

 I am wearing a black tee from Urban Outfitters (from about 5 years ago), floral skirt from Good Will $5, my favorite cowboy boots from Red Light Vintage $30 (I have been wearing them for about 7 years straight and have had them resoled about 3 times already), and my belt and hat are from Urban Outfitters as well. Oh and my American Flag that hangs over my bedroom window is from Good Will as well, cost $3 and worth every penny :)

When the Clouds Break.

Living in Seattle will make a person crazy wishing for sun. We really only get sun and nice weather for about 3 months a year, so when the clouds finally break everyone gets a bit excited. I am putting lightly, people get unusually nice and everyone comes out of their houses. It's quite weird actually. The population seems to triple in the summer. People ask me why I live here since I love warm weather, and to tell you the truth I don't have a good answer for that. But today was a lovely Saturday and I have been enjoying it to say the least. Book reading in the sun on the desk, tacos for breakfast, ice cream at the park, basically the works!

* Levi's denim jacket
* Floral sundress from UO
* Head scarf I made
* My usual collection of jewels :)

New Beginnings....

I have been blogging on Tumblr for years now and it has really turned into just an inspiration blog for me. So I am trying something new starting today. This will be a personal style blog, capturing my day to day wildness. Also I will warn you all now that I am not what anyone would call photogenic so please bare with me. There might also be a few appearances by my maniac jungle cat, so be on the lookout. I am quite looking forward to this new start, so wish me luck darlings!
